Cedrus atlantica is a subspecies of the Lebanon cedar, and was found originally in the Atlas mountains of North Africa, where it serves to create a natural habitat for a number of endangered species.

Cedarwood essential oil is excellent for stress or to improve the appearance of dry or irritated skin. Diffuse or apply topically in a 2-10% dilution. Cedarwood can also be used to revitalize cedar chests that have lost their scent. Clean and dry the exposed wood, then sand, brush, and buff the wood with cedarwood essential oil on a soft cloth for a beautiful finish and lasting scent.
This Cedarwood originated in the Atlas Mountains in North Africa. In former times, linen chests were frequently crafted from this wood to keep moths out. To date, clothes hangers are frequently crafted from this wood. The ancient Egyptians used this oil, namely for embalming, cosmetics and perfumery.

She developed what is now the Auminay Naturals product line by eventually learning to infuse these herbs into products that used natural ingredients to provide skin care products for a healthier lifestyle. In 2017, as a newly certified Master Herbalist, Melanie opened Melanie’s Health & Nutrition to provide a resource for the Tooele community. The Auminay products are now made in the back section of the store. Melanie and her staff love to serve the community and provide opportunities for learning, as well as products that empower people to be healthier.
