Taught by Master Herbalist, Melanie Skelton. You'll learn practical ways to bring simple herbal remedies into your home wellness routine!
Herbs can be incredibly useful, but knowing where to start can feel confusing. Which herb do you choose? Should you use it as a tea, tincture, capsule, topical, or culinary herb? And how do you know what actually belongs in your home wellness routine?
In this beginner-friendly class, we’ll make herbs feel simple, practical, and easier to understand. You’ll learn how common herbs are used, what different forms are best suited for you, and how to begin choosing herbs with more confidence.
We’ll cover gentle everyday herbs such as nettle, marshmallow, ginger, lemongrass, peppermint, chamomile, and raspberry leaf, along with basic herb categories like calming herbs, digestive herbs, nutritive herbs, soothing herbs, warming herbs, and women’s wellness herbs.
This class is clear, practical, and beginner-friendly, no previous herbal experience needed. You’ll leave with a helpful printed handout, a better understanding of which herbs to reach for, and practical ways to bring simple herbal remedies into your home wellness routine.
At the end of class, you’ll visit our DIY tea station and create your own small take-home herbal tea blend using featured herbs from the class.

Ever wonder what’s growing under your feet or above your head that can be used to support your health?
Join Melanie, Shannon, and Jessica, three Master Herbalists, for a guided Saturday morning herb walk in South Willow Canyon. As we hike the trail together, you’ll learn to identify common local plants like plantain, dandelion, stinging nettle, and so much more. With three herbalists leading the walk, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from each of our perspectives, ask questions, and deepen your confidence in recognizing useful plants growing close to home.
This will be a moderate hike, so come prepared with good walking shoes, water, and be ready to enjoy the scenery while you learn.
